Independent security analysis and testing is a recognized way of applying specialized attack skills to get an unbiased assessment of the security of a product. Markets such as financial, government, and telecoms are increasingly demanding an independent viewpoint, sometimes through a requirement for formal certification under a scheme such as Common Criteria (ISO 15408).

SiVenture is a Commercial Evaluation Facility (CLEF) under the UK IT Security Evaluation & Certification Scheme (and therefore accredited under ISO 17025) and is able to undertake evaluations at all Common Criteria levels. SiVenture has helped clients to achieve successful certification, and re-certification, for hardware and software products.

We undertake security analysis and testing either as evaluators or as an independent test resource for a developer (often as contributors to the developer’s own vulnerability analysis).

SiVenture provides pre-evaluation consultancy, process support and test evidence in accordance with Evaluation Scheme rules, helping clients to achieve successful certification of their products.

SiVenture is also an approved test laboratory under the CSIA Claims Tested Mark Scheme (CCT Mark), specializing in hardware and smart card testing.
